Booking FAQ

How are prices being calculated?

Our car rental prices are based on a 24-hour time period, e.g. if you reserve and pick up your car rental at 14:00 you will have to drop it off at 14:00 at the latest. If you return the car late you often will be charged for an additional day.

Will I get the exact make and model which I have reserved?

Both our website and the car rental supplier can only guarantee a certain car category and not a specific make or model. Car rental companies feature cars from many different manufacturers in the same category which should have the same features as confirmed at time of reservation.

What is the FULL-FULL fuel policy?

No surprises. The fuel tank will be full or part-full when you pick your car up. Just replace the fuel you’ve used before you drop your car off and you’ll pay no fuel fees at all. All the car rental companies we work with offer the FULL/FULL fuel policy.

When will I have to pay for the rental?

The deposit is paid the moment you book on our website. The remaining is paid directly to the car rental when you pick-up the car.

Can I book without a credit card?

Unfortunately at the moment it's not possible to book without a credit card.

Can I change my booking?

Yes, you can easily change your booking details. You just need to file an amendment request by email on help@www.azoresrentalcars.com. Please note that amendments can take up to 48 hours to be processed.

My booking status is "PENDING" - what does this mean?

This means that we still have to confirm the availability of the vehicle with the car rental agent. Once confirmed, we will send a booking confirmation. In cases where the requested vehicle is not available, we will contact you to advise you on other options. 90% of all our reservations are confirmed, however, you can still decide to cancel your reservation free of cost at this stage my emailing us on help@www.azoresrentalcars.com .

My booking status is "DENIED" - what does this mean?

This means that unfortunately the car rental agent could not confirm the availability of the requested vehicle. If your reservation has been denied by the agent, we will contact you to discuss alternative options. If the service fee was already charged on your credit card, we will refund the funds back immediately.


Insurance FAQ

How is my rental car insured?

All rental cars have a public/third party liability insurance with a minimum coverage amount as per local legislation.

Do I need extra insurance?

At time of pick-up the car rental company's representative may offer you extra insurance such as CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) or SuperCDW (to reduce or exclude the excess), Personal Accident Insurance or other insurances. You need to check for yourself if you need and want any of the optional insurances offered locally.
